Same happens to me. The message "No valid iPod could be found attached to your computer". What ever it means. But i have my ipod touch 8 GB applied to my computer. Itunes doesn't work anyway. It shows my ipod, but doesn't allow me transferring any data to it. Any idea?
Hi all, I have an 80GB Ipod classic that also experiences the same error message: No valid iPod could be found attached to your computer. Has anyone managed to get version 3.8.3 working with the Classic?
Had the same "no valid ipod..." error with my new 160GB Classic so I checked out Jeff's help page (http://www.getsharepod.com/help/) where it states that you must install and connect to iTunes first to initialize your iPod with some necessary files. I did this and SharePod now recognizes the iPod. Problem solved for me.
Hi Jeff, first let me Thank you for all your work, sincerly is great, I tryed the new 3.8.4 and Sharepod doesn't find it (anyone),some data for you: I test in an iPhone 8Gb and 16GB with 1.1.4 iPhone system,i have the iTunes 7.6.2.9, tested with and without iTunes attach with the iPhone.
I think that maybe the iPod Touch is different to iPhone,or maybe i don't do something more, what do you think?
Good news, the test with new iPod nano 4gb works fine
